Free Standing Mural

Freestanding murals are designed for permanency, with ideal structural, location, and viewing considerations.

Freestanding, and Structurally Sound

• Capture History    • Record Memories    • Make a Statement    • Project a Future

This project is a free standing, art in the round, steel structure, designed for foot traffic viewing and interaction. It has a nine foot footprint, and is the anchor point for a playground, and neighborhood revitalization project that removed blighted buildings, built new townhomes, and included a playground for neighborhood kids.
Three steel towers, each approximately 200 lbs, depicting elements of the roles of the African American in American History. Located in Gettysburg PA, and the first monument dedicated to the USCT, United States Colored Troops. This art is also listed in the Historic Markers and Monuments Database for Pennsylvania.
My graphic arts background enables me to create comprehensive, and digital mock ups to demonstrate to the client, what they finished product might look like. In this first image is a miniature mock up of the three towers. These were superimposed over a photograph of the site to demonstrate placement, size and positioning.
